Installation Guide to Start Using Services on Dojo

fully managed by Dojo APP

Prometheus Guide & Resources

1. Log In or Create an Account

To access Dojo, sign in to your existing account or create a new one. There are 2 ways to sign in:

  • Google
  • Email

2. Create a New Prometheus Service

Once you are logged in, go to the Services section on the left sidebar and click Deploy my first service (or Create Service if your project already has other services).

2. Create a New Prometheus Service

Search for Prometheus in the search bar or find it under the Hosting & Infrastructure tab, then click the Select button.

3. Hosting & Cloud Provider

Dojo fully manages your deployment on top of leading cloud providers. You can choose from:

  • Amazon Lightsail
  • Amazon AWS
  • DigitalOcean
  • Custom Server / BYO Server
3. Hosting & Cloud Provider

If you prefer to deploy directly to your own cloud provider account, Amazon AWS is currently available. Each cloud provider has regions across Asia, North America, and Europe (such as ap-southeast-2 Sydney, ap-south-1 Mumbai, ap-northeast-1 Tokyo, or ap-southeast-1 Singapore). A region is where the provider's data centers are located. Pick the region closest to you and your users so your service responds faster (lower latency).

4. Instance Resources & Plans

Based on the cloud provider you selected in the previous step, choose a plan. Each plan comes with different resources (CPU, RAM, storage, etc.).

4. Instance Resources & Plans

If you don't see the smallest plans for Prometheus, it's because they are too small to run Prometheus smoothly. We hide underpowered plans so you won't run into performance issues with your Prometheus service.

Tip: some cloud providers also offer ARM-based plans. They often match x86 plans on performance at a lower price and use less energy, so they are usually the best value.

5. Support Plan

Choose from Dojo's support levels based on your needs:

5. Support Plan
  • Level 1 Support (Basic) — Included (Free)
    • 7 days remote backup retention
    • 2 manual snapshots
    • 48h response time
    • Best effort support (no SLA guarantee)
  • Level 2 Support (Popular) — $0.0100 / hour
    • 30 days remote backup retention & 10 manual snapshots
    • 12h response time & 99.9% uptime SLA
    • Point-in-time recovery & performance monitoring
  • Level 3 Support (Enterprise) — $0.0250 / hour
    • 90 days remote backup retention & 50 manual snapshots
    • 2h response time & 99.99% uptime SLA with financial credits
    • Point-in-time recovery, advanced monitoring/alerting, dedicated support engineer, custom backup schedules, and proactive health checks

6. Advanced Settings & Configuration

Under Settings, you can set up a few things before launch:

6. Advanced Settings & Configuration

• Enter a Service Name and Admin Email (used to set up your primary admin account). • Choose a specific Version, or keep the default (latest). • Optionally, open Advanced Configuration to set optional credentials, API keys, or custom environment variables.

7. Review and Launch

On the right sidebar, review your selections: version, cloud provider, region, plan, and support tier. Your Estimated Hourly Price (and estimated monthly cost based on 730 hours of usage) is clearly displayed. When you're ready, click the Create Service button. Dojo will automatically set up the instance and install Prometheus.

8. Start Using Your Service

Once setup is complete, your Prometheus instance will show as active on your Dojo dashboard. Click into the service overview screen to find your access links and admin credentials.
